It's an old railroad observation tower. There's another one nearby that I'm going to try and get a good shot of but it's really high up.

This is at the entrance to a company that stores products in old gypsum mines under the west side of my city.

I love these people. We were hanging out last night and suddenly someone asks if I know who ChrisChan is. It was great. Not often that you meet someone irl where you can casually use terms like "weening" and they know exactly what you mean.

I forgot three things. The first is how tedious it is editing photos when they're not perfect straight from the camera. The second is that lived-in houses have a lot of wear, tear, and messes that you don't have to deal with when shooting new builds. The third is how much Lightroom sucks for keeping things organized.

My mood is swinging wildly up and down, no doubt because of events around me, not the anti-anxiety drugs.

But as for now I'm having a great time here. We watched Breaking Bad last night, which is always fun to do in detox. The recovering junkies are cool. The guys are chill and the girls are sweet and charming

I've even been participating in my group therapy and it's not completely useless. Most of the stuff is common sense but sometimes they really make you think I'm even doing the gay ones like music and art therapy.

Apparently I was deceived into coming here. I was under the impression that I would get some kind of mental health care but instead it's just detox from alcohol plus telling you to think more positive and stuff. I'm actually more hopeless and suicidal now than I was coming in.

At least it's a really pleasant place. Someone gave me some advice on a place that might actually be viable but I would have to switch my fricking insurance which I don't know is even possible. And kind of difficult to do with a phone available 1 hour/day. Of course the basic information a person would want to know is unavailable on the internet.
