• Hard push Carol Danvers, who is fucking terrible, and despite everybody liking Kamala as Mrs Marvel better, just because Marvel Needs A Wonder Woman.

Unless that story has a really good resolution, I consider this unforgivable. I'm not even much of a comic fan, but I am an American, and he's an important icon in my culture. Making him some sort of proto-Nazi because of the current fad of hissing at white guys is disrespectful as hell.

Nope, they either hired writers that they thought would be hip and cool or told their writers to be hip and cool and talk about culture wars bullshit in an attempt to expand their market to women, minorities, and groups of people who normally wouldn't be into capeshit. Unfortunately for them and fortunately for their base of capeshit fans, they did it so poorly with terrible (like seriously embarrassing) shoehorned culture wars dialogue, character replacements that make absolutely no sense, and making minorities into mary sues without any hint of actual minority experience that they pissed off their base while failing expand their market, and on top of that the artists were extremely defensive/antagonistic and invested in stupid twitter wars like gamergate, which pissed off the base further. It was just a fucking horrible marketing move, and Marvel is really lucky that the MCU is doing so well, otherwise they'd be in deep shit.
