We need to fight back against the admins' oppression of moderators. Cancer modding is a reddit tradition and we simply cannot let it go away.

Reddit used to be a wonderful place. A place where people who were grossly unsatisfied with their personal life could get a small modicum of power over a forum and abuse it endlessly, all while jerking of to porn of questionable legality and waiting for mommy to bring a fresh hot place of chicken tendies. In the golden days of this site, you could take over a subreddit, wipe it clean, replace it with a giant pic of your tiny cock, and feast on the tears of your creation for six days straight with no contact with the outside world. And on the seventh day you would look upon your creation and say it is good.

Now, the admins of this site are trying to destroy this practice. Mods now have to be held "accountable" and apparently abusing mod powers is considered "harassment". This is disgusting, if I wanted mods that simply remove spam rather than flexing their e-peen I would go to 4chan.

I think we need to all band together and fight this. If you won't do it for reddit, or for me, or yourself, then by god do it for the moderators who need this power now more than ever.

The admins are not like you or me. They're not even like the vast majority of Americans, whom we know make up the whole world.

You should take extra steps and precautions to keep yourself safe in these troubling times.

Also, I think the admins should permanently IP ban all moderators and moderator wannabes.

Speaking of 4chan, why would their janitors actually want to spend time moderating shit boards like b or pol and not be able to flex this epeens? Has any janitor come out and given an interrview or something? It's not like they had to sign a NDA or something so someone should have spoken??

Janitors don't get to have an e-peen. Moderators do. Janitors on 4chan are the online embodiment of cuckdom.

I'm a janitor for a board. We're literally just janitors. The only difference between being a normal user and a janitor is that you can remove BLACKED from the board.

You mod /sp/ don't you?

AI will put all you STEM-lord mods with your fancy computers out of work and then you will be forced to embrace the power of the welfare state!

Mods now have to be held "accountable" and apparently abusing mod powers is considered "harassment".

source? did someone get a little spanking from /u/sodypop?

/u/MasterLawlz is retarded and has literally no idea what special arrangements we have with the admins.

Ooooh! Hopefully it's half price bone-in wings at San Fran BDubs locations

Is it mansplaining if /u/MasterLawlz isn't a man 🤔 🤔 🤔

How low does your T have to get to not be considered a man? Asking for a friend.

That friend is u/Hammer_of_Truthiness btw

Modsplaining

Can you stay a boy so long that your balls achieve new heights again?

1: transplaining

Lol. Is that aimed at me or /u/MasterLawlz 🤔 🤔 🤔

It was a report on your comment

I meant the suggestion one of us is trans. Clearly a comment about /u/MasterLawlz (don't worry bb, TERFs still hate you. Patriarchy for ever).

I had to google TERFs. Why the fuck are leftys so label and identity obsessed.

As an outsider, the American right are just as bad about identity politics - RINOs, Tea Partiers, anything relating to Evangelicals and praaaaaisin' Jesus, Southern good old boys who care more about the Confederacy than the USA. When is the last time a President campaigned primarily on an economic platform, FDR?

Well- you never hear someone identify as a rino. Sometimes youll hear tbaggers and you will see people who are evangelists.

But they certainly dont specify as exactly as the otherkin attack chopper bronys

The Southern Strategy and its underlying mythical idea of a perfect (white) America with no flaws is just as ridiculous as the extremes of SJW nonsense, it's just been around longer.

But the south is where most of the country's african american folks live.

So what? That clearly doesn't prevent Republicans playing identity politics, but they tend to disguise it as gerrymandering and voter ID laws and prohibitions on felons voting (while pretending African-Americans don't face prosecutorial bias).

Just because it's a disguised form of identity politics doesn't mean it isn't identity politics.

Im just trying to figure out why leftys are always focused on what category everyone belongs in - I oppose voter ID and think felons should not only be able to vote and but also be granted a mechanism to be given their right to own firearms back once they complete their sentence.

Im just trying to figure out why leftys are always focused on what category everyone belongs in

I understand, I'm saying that from afar, the American right appear to be just as concerned about identity politics. DAE Obama's secret Kenyan long-form birth certificate saying he is a Muslim?!

And now the guy originally pushing that shit is President...

DAE Obama's secret Kenyan long-form birth certificate saying he is a Muslim

Ya but only extremists said this - and then CNN, FoxNews and MSNBC pushed this story. This wasn't a thing until the MSM pushed it as a thing. And then our now potus said it after the msm had pushed it.

Ya but only extremists said this

Led by now-President Trump... And let's not forget Sarah Palin, who was completely unqualified for anything except appealing to a particular breed of extremist. All of which suggests that the Republicans are just as likely to get hijacked by identity politics, just a different flavour.

why the fuck wouldn't, since its the requirement to be XX years old, born here, etc, they have to provide that documentation when they file to run for the office

Agreed. And IIRC, it was McCain who was the one with iffy credentials, given he was definitely born offshore.

I should note the Aussies just purged a few politicians because they only just realised people with dual citizenship are disqualified from holding particular offices. So the US isn't alone in failing to actually check whether people are eligible before they're elected.

It would be pretty fuckin funny if it came out someday that Obama wasnt born here and the conspiritards were right.

Its rare that republicans talk about race or gender to a large degree though- beyond responding to another group that brings it up (other than homosexuals and trans folk - kuz republicans definitely hate that group of ppl)

Its rare that republicans talk about race or gender to a large degree though

Sure they do, they just have code words for it. Whenever a Republican campaigns on "law and order" or being "tough on crime", they sure as shit don't mean cracking down on fraudulent practices in the banking sector or Enron-style investment fraud.

The Southern Strategy and its underlying mythical idea of a perfect (white) America

But Nixon desegrated schools:

In the fall of 1968, 68 percent of black children in the South were attending all-black schools. By 1974, that number had fallen to 8 percent. This extraordinary accomplishment was achieved through the shrewd political skills and raw courage of President Nixon, Secretary of Labor George Schultz, and Attorney General John Mitchell.

http://historynewsnetwork.org/article/5331

Nixon predates the use of the nutjobs that Reagan used to get to power.

The Southern Strategy refers to attempt by Nixon to win over Southern Democrats exasperated by both segregationists and civil rights marchers, many of whom felt Johnson was playing both sides of the issue. So, yes, it is actually about the Nixon administration.

have you ever seen otherkin attack chopper etc etc outside of the internet though? Unless you go looking for them they're an extreme minority

Yes i've seen IRL people who identify as something fuckin wierd.

RINOs, Tea Partiers, anything relating to Evangelicals and praaaaaisin' Jesus, Southern good old boys who care more about the Confederacy than the USA.

Nothing a bit more recent than last decade? Evangelicals haven't been a force in American politics since 2006. Tea Partiers went away by 2010. RINO is a term of internal party politics, and actually refers to moderate Republicans.

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, do you?

Are you retarded? Trump literally came to the fore of Republican politics with his bullshit accusations that Obama is a Kenyan-born secret Muslim. And now he's President.

He's still playing RINO-games with his failed health bill.

I honestly don't think Obama was obsessed with identity politics.

Sure, but the Republicans forced him to answer all that bullshit anyway. Show me your birth certificate. No, the other one! Are you really a Christian?

I just was trying to compliment Obama over Hillary. I know the GOP and Trump are shit.

Obama pitched his campaign at the centre and won. Hillary spent a lot of time preaching to the already converted and lost.

It literally made no sense. She offended people into hating her when she was already hated by much of the country.

I'm a bot, bleep, bloop. Someone has linked to this thread from another place on reddit:

If you follow any of the above links, please respect the rules of reddit and don't vote in the other threads. (Info / Contact)

Better idea: all mods step in front of a bus and the problem is irrelevant

Reminder that /r/drama is not subject to all the new mod rules. There is a note on the internal admin interface that says we're allowed to mod abuse.

There is a note on the internal admin interface that says we're allowed to mod abuse.

Fake news.

100% real. I don't know exactly what it says but they told us that they recognize our "distinct internal culture" (or something like that) and aren't interested in interfering. She said something about how the rules are aimed at protecting unwitting users from being abused and that since the user base here is aware of what the subreddit is about they're basically consenting to our shit by choosing to post here. Someone will probably pull out the screen shot and we'll see how terrible my paraphrasing is but that's the gist of it.

Wait where was this?

wait where was this said? I can't find it in mail.

There was a modmail thread about it as well as a PM to /u/hahapointsatyou

You heard the admins

BEING IN /R/DRAMA = ASKING FOR IT

Well to be fair, yes.

VICTIM BLAMING

"culture"

So what are mods not allowed to do anymore?

mods r gods

I'd remove this, but ehhh
