I loved BR2049 the most, by far. Saw Alien Resurrection and it immediately left my brain. I thought IT was ok. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was fun but not really much more than that.

I thought It Follows had a cool idea that got dumber as it went on. At first, you thought "It" was some kind of demon or something but eventually you find out it was basically just a normal person that happened to be invisible and could be killed with conventional means.

I liked P&R but if you're expecting any kind of reasonable portrayal of someone with any kind of a men's rights slant in Hollywood you're gonna be disappointed. I'm not even an MRA or anything but I think the strawmen they put in their screenplays are just bizarre. In the most recent season of You're The Worst (which I think is one of the best sitcoms ever), they had a character turn into a full-blown redpill stereotype out of nowhere, talking about sexual assault statistics randomly and when he interacted with a waitress he said "And no, I'm not trying to rape you".
He went back to normal after a few episodes but it felt extremely awkward and forced to me.

It was the most fun I've had at a movie all year and I really feel with no irony that James Franco should be nominated for an academy award for his role as Tommy salami. I loved BR2049 the most, by far. Saw Alien Resurrection and it immediately left my brain. I thought IT was ok. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 was fun but not really much more than that.

BR2049 is definitely in my top three of the year, probably #2.
My #1 is probably Logan, and #3 might actually be hate to say it, Kong: Skull Island.

I like BR2049 because it has visuals that are easily on par with the original, while adding a story and characters that you actually care about. I thought all performances were great, including Harrison Ford's, and the waifu game was strong too.

Visuals were extremely strong, and the acting was pretty on point, too.
I thought it was a bit slow at times and had some pacing issues, but overall was a fantastic movie. I've heard people say that it's "the best sequel ever made", and I think there's a lot of truth to that.
Really built upon and improved the first Bladerunner in every way while staying true to the theme and aesthetic of the franchise.

If you trudge through piles of shitty horror films regularly I think you'd have a good appreciation for what It Follows accomplished.
Get Out was a good movie but it was universally liked because of it's non-horror angles and it was pretty funny and well put together. As far as it's scariness it barely ranks above satire but I watch lots of shitty horror anyway.

I thought It Follows had a cool idea that got dumber as it went on. At first, you thought "It" was some kind of demon or something but eventually you find out it was basically just a normal person that happened to be invisible and could be killed with conventional means.
Get Out was enjoyable, I wouldn't really call it "horror" but it's an enjoyable thriller (and somewhat of a dark comedy)
