I honestly unironically love Uwe Boll.

I used to think his movies were shit but then he challenged a critic to a boxing match and beat the shit out of him, then he released Postal which is good old fashioned racist and wrong humour all mixed together.

Seeing a behind the scenes where he straight up said "I just like being in the field filming movies, fuck everything else" made me respect the dude even if his output is self-serving garbage.

Pretty much. His films were effectively a tax shelter that wealthy investors could use to cut their tax burden. I believe the exact methods used were changed, which is why he switched to making much lower budget movies in recent years.

It was more of a "even if it fails we don't lose month" thing. They eventually closed the tax loophole in Germany.

He did punch Lowtax, so that was pretty neat.
