I used to think his movies were shit but then he challenged a critic to a boxing match and beat the shit out of him, then he released Postal which is good old fashioned racist and wrong humour all mixed together.
Seeing a behind the scenes where he straight up said "I just like being in the field filming movies, fuck everything else" made me respect the dude even if his output is self-serving garbage.
Pretty much. His films were effectively a tax shelter that wealthy investors could use to cut their tax burden. I believe the exact methods used were changed, which is why he switched to making much lower budget movies in recent years.
Seriously. The dev team even submitted a draft of the script and the Head of the game studio that made postal is even in the movie. I can't think another video game movie that's that closely linked with the game developers
lol @ Uwe Boll thinking anyone gives a shit about what he has to say. I'm honestly surprised he hasn't just dropped off the face of the earth yet. Guess he just wants to continue challenging critics and directors to boxing matches.
I couldn't imagine putting my best effort forward for a movie poster, then getting accused of plagiarism by Uwe fucking Boll. Poor artist should just keep himself shaved.

Anything that pisses off Uwe Boll is good for dramacoin.

hahahaha he’s seriously complaining about “Marvel bullshit”?

That this guy can't even trick people into giving him money on Kickstarter says everything you need to know about him.

People dropped a million on a kickstarter for a plastic buffet fork.
It's not only already a real thing, but comes in stainless steel.

I honestly unironically love Uwe Boll.

This is like McDonalds accusing a steakhouse of plagiarism because they both technically use beef

I like that he seems to believe anyone remembers the theatrical poster for Bloodrayne, much less thought enough of it to steal it for their movie.

Uwe Boll had breasts, attractive bi women and violence in his movies and still failed every time.
Let that sink in.

doesn’t he pull off a “Producers”-style scam with each movie to get money from the German government or something

It was more of a "even if it fails we don't lose month" thing. They eventually closed the tax loophole in Germany.

He did punch Lowtax, so that was pretty neat.
1 dickassdick 2018-02-11
I know Lowtax was trolling, but I can't believe he didnt even try to get some hits in on Uwe. Sad!
1 MG87 2018-02-11
To be fair, Boll actually boxes in his spare time. Lowtax has never been inside a gym in his life
1 fnuuurr 2018-02-11
Oh ya, that's what makes it even better.
"Come get punched in the fucking face, Lowtax"
"OK!"

The internet peaked when that happened.

Postal was as good a movie as you could make from that property.

How can you argue with a movie that has this as an opening?

You'd think a director would know that directors usually don't have much say in the posters as they're done by marketing.
Oh wait I forgot Use Boll isn't really a director.

To be fair, if I was a plagiarist, I would imitate the worst things to make it less suspicious.

Because movie posters have always been a area for originality. https://www.boredpanda.com/movie-poster-cliches/
