Yes, but it's easy as frick and is obviously correct and follows an existing workflow and in fact requires less steps than a dedicated solution. "Add a number to the code file and push it into production" is very streamlined for a man who adds code to code files and pushes them into production.

If at some point Aevann has to delegate this blocking things to other people, then I see him implementing it as a generic feature. Until then, having your hardcoded numbers in the code instead of the database is just a very good idea.

Maybe I'm just too corpo brained and subconsciously assume code changes will take months to reach a variety of different customers and a large team of r-slurs from around the world will need to be able to use/work on the feature. I also worked with Enterprise Java trash where features would sometimes get rejected in code review if they didn't look like this

https://github.com/Hello-World-EE/Java-Hello-World-Enterprise-Edition/tree/master/src/com/example

However, stuff like this is why reddit codecels dunk on rdrama's source code when he offers them an off-site. I think it was the motte or something that was really hesitant to use rdrama as an off-site base due to the yolo hyper agile Cappy dev style.
