Harris Wolobah, a 10th grader from the city of Worcester, died on Sept. 1, 2023, after eating the chip manufactured by Paqui, a Texas-based subsidiary of the Hershey Co.

Apparently this wasn't just a random tiktok challenge, it was actually a product sold in stores specifically to "challenge" people into trying its spiciness, the "Paqui One Chip Challenge"

UPDATE: my niece goes to school in Texas. This is a middle school and the teacherβs subject is Math. For some reason she had the kids watching Hidden Figures. Upon explaining hiring practices in the past this teacher told a classroom full of children that βwe didnβt like to hireβ¦
