Back in California for the day hosting a fellow/resident party for every student I’ve worked with. They know I enjoy poker so we played a couple dozen hands trying to gain my favor. Some dumbass wagered a very positive letter of recommendation versus me not giving one. Dumbass didn’t realize he already had the very positive letter and lost.

I’ve already written them so I’ll still give it but darn bro, don’t stake your career over a card game against somebody that’s played most of their life
