I read so much manga this week lol.
Talentless Nana- I hadn’t realized the plot had progressed to where it currently is otherwise I would have picked it back up way sooner. It’s such a different plot at this point it’s kinda crazy. The sister reveal was…on one hand very obvious and on the other a good twist ngl.
Iruma-kun- Finally an Isekai where the new world isn’t just a bog standard fantasy world. I liked it quite a bit, Iruma is your typical incredibly likable shonen protagonist but I just can’t bring myself to dislike him. It does give me huge assassination classroom vibes with the whole ensemble cast compromised of a misfit class. Biggest star of the show was Kirio, dear lord his facial expressions are hot. I also just have a thing for demon sadists apparently.
Ascendence of a bookworm- I didn’t end up reading this one all the way through since I don’t think part 2 is fully translated yet? It’s a bit slow but I think I’ll definitely come back to it when it’s done.
Slime Isekai- I don’t really have much to say about this one. It does it’s tropes well and is entertaining.
The One With The Villainess- This one only has like 9 chapters but they’re very long. It’s definitely a unique take on the otome Isekai genre and I’m excited to see how it develops.
Villains are destined to die- I had the fact Penny ends up with Callisto spoiled for me a while ago which confused me because at the point I was at she had talked to him once lol. After reading it up to where the story currently is I can say for sure it’s glaringly obvious that that’s the case. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that she’s gonna end up with the crown prince they /always/ do in this kind of story. I think Winter stands a chance tbh hopefully he can get with Yvonne after she comes back and everything ends happily (cope)
Surviving Romance- This one was an incredibly unique twist on the otome Isekai genre. I really enjoyed it and encourage others to read it if they also like the genre. It did make me wanna rewatch Gakko Gurashi too.
Chitra- Still in the middle of this reread. Chitra is my favorite OI hopefully the story has finally revisited the hot red-eyed crown prince.

Only Part 1 manga is done. Parts 2, 3 and 4 are still being drawn. Part 2 is licensed for translation by JNC and the JP release monthly, latest chapter(43) is about halfway trough LN Part 2 volume 3, so one and a half volumes left. Part 3 is irregular they are probably having production issues. Part 4 also release monthly. Part 5 has not even started yet, so the complete manga is some 10+ years away from being done.

Anyone watch Revengers or Handyman Saitou ? Most interesting shows of the season imo.
And since i forgot to review last seasons anime here it is:
High-mid:
Beast tamer. Basic native isekai harem anime. Low stakes, easy to watch.
Uzaki wants to hang out. I had to watch the first season first but I thought the joke would be that only Hana had sugoi dekai's but all women have massive titties so that was a big
.
To your eternity. Started out silly so I thought it would be trash but actually turned into some good character development.
Mid:
JoJo stone ocean. Not really a fan of the enemy stands or the ending.
Spy x Family. Nothing really happens.
Not for me:
Gundam TWFM.
Dropped:
Chainsaw man. Dropped on episode 8. Too disgusting to watch.

I watched shield hero s2 and it was definitely an improvement over s1
But the real good show I watched this week was priconne s2. Its probably going to be my anime of the year. Idk how its legal for a shitty gacha game to have a show thats better than 99% of every other media piece that came out in 2022.

Unironcially one of the greatest shows of the last few years. They got the Konosuba team for animation and it shows. Good enough that I ordered a Kyaru figure.
First part drags but the second party kicks butt, but sadly the power through one of the nicer early arcs. S3 will end right before one of the cooler arcs in my opinion.

G*mer words aside, I genuinely enjoyed s2 more than the 2nd cour of part 1, though thats not saying much since the 2nd cour of s1 was so horrible I literally hate watched it. So it wasnt a particularly high bar for me.
But the g*mer moments and the main antagonist being a literal
who an heros himself after losing his account were just pure kino.

i took that pic like 3 weeks ago dont worry lol, didnt waste any time there. was an incredibly fun trip there btw, got to meet up w some old international and foreign exchnage student friends, and the gang and i that went all agreed it prob wont be topped.
also side-note, while i wouldnt ever wanna try to live there, except on the exceptionally rare international work opportunity, the clean, orderly, and efficient public transportation, lack of druggie homeless strewn about everywhere, and cheap drinks were incredibly jap-pilling(?). unironically get the leftoid hype about the walkable cities meme that we'll never really have in the us.
