The main issue about PTDBZ is that it was not translated from the original Japanese audio and script, it was instead translated from the the French dub, which was itself filled with translation errors, French-centric jokes, and censored to shit, but even this was not enough and the Tugacels censored a censored localization even more, therefore this masterpiece is a translation of a translation and a censored version of a censored version

Afaik from some Brazilian video I watched some few years ago (I will link you once I find it) that delves deeper into the background behind its creation, all European dubs of DBZ were translated from its French dub, in the 1990s, France and Italy were the only Europoor countries that had enough economic and cultural contact with Japan before the advent of the internet, and back when anime was unknown outside of Japan.

This was also common here in Latrine America, the legendary Brazilian Portuguese dub of DBZ was dubbed over the Mexican Spanish dub, and other anime was dubbed via-its spergtastic 4Kids Amerimutt English localizations, it wasn't until very, very recently in the 2010s when weebshit and the internet became mainstream, that the vast majority of foreign anime dubs started to be translated directly from its original Japanese audio/script.
