Japanese Mobile Games No Longer in Global Top-10 Revenue List

Market research firm SensorTower has released its list of top-10 global mobile game revenue ranking, and a Japanese game was not included in the top 10 for the first time in a while.

The top 10 in overall revenue for global mobile games in April 2023 were as follows:

Honor of Kings – Tencent (China)

PUBG Mobile – Krafton/Tencent (South Korea/China)

Genshin Impact – miHoYo (China)

Candy Crush – King (Sweden)

Roblox – Roblox Corporation (USA)

Coin Master :marseymerchant:– Moon Active (Israel)

Gardenscapes – Playrix (Russia/Ireland)

Royal Match – Dream Games (Turkey)

Three Kingdom Tactics – Alibaba (China)

Honkai: Star Rail – miHoYo (China)

The March 2023 top-10 ranking featured two Japanese mobile games in Uma Musume: Pretty Derby and Monster Strike. In February 2023, the top 10 featured Fate/Grand Order and Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle.

With the launch of miHoYo’s Honkai: Star Rail breaking records with 20 million downloads, the mobile game immediately made it into the top-10 list and will likely stay there for some time, given its current trend.
