Recommend me a chill scifi anime

I've been feeling up to watching something new. :marseyfluffy: Nothing coomer please. :marseynun: I'd like something scifi themed too. I really enjoyed Aria, Hal, and Time of Eve in the past so something similar to that vibe would be nice. I'd also prefer if it was short. A 12 episode series or a movie would be best. FLCL like @ES said or Gurren Lagann are both short and sweet. Idk if you'll find one more chill thats short other than Ghost in the Shell. If you haven't seen the Animatrix shorts, specifically episodes World Record, Kid's Story, and Beyond, those ones are all chill, stand alone, and wrap up neatly.
