Mavis Enthusiast So I got into Goblin Slayer initially from picking up the manga on a whim and I liked it. Was not a fan of the first season of the anime though. Just janky. (the intro was a banger though) The new season has fixed a lot of the issues I had, specifically the animation. Anyway I've enjoyed it so far (I'm 3 episodes in) so I can say if you didn't like the initial season you may just enjoy this new one. That said, in my opinion, the manga is still he best version of Goblin Slayer. I'm not particularly fond of the novel's translation.

I really liked Berserk when I read it. I wrote off Goblin Slayer after that beginning murder/r*pe scene and, from what I've seen, a fair amount of waifu-bait. I haven't given the series a serious consideration tho

I was able to push past it for the story tho (I did the same with GoT) The waifu shit is more of an anime issue imo and is part of why I didn't like the anime as much lol. It's not as bad in the manga. My favorite trope is single minded insane man on a revenge quest so I can forgive a lot of the cringe weebshit. It's a guilty pleasure series for me
