Some medium-sized spoilers ahead for One Piece.
Context
Some pretty standard anime forum drama on /r/OnePiece today.
One Piece is a long-running manga and anime series about pirates with magical powers and strange body proportions. The subject of today's drama is Jewelry Bonney, a character introduced way back in 2008 who, like many (most?) of the series' women, first showed up with a scanty costume design and rather generous proportions. She's been a pretty minor character in most of the 15 years since, but in the latest arc of the story, she's suddenly become a central feature.
It was recently revealed that Bonney is, in fact, 12 years old (10 years old at the time of her first appearance), and she uses her powers to age up her body and appear as an adult. This has caused some controversy, because - even beyond the already-mentioned skimpy costumes - Bonney has been sexualized pretty substantially in recent chapters, with numerous butt shots and one particularly egregious topless panel. And that's just the official artwork; you can imagine what else the internet has done since her reveal.
Today's drama springs from a screencap of the anime, which has just recently previewed the topless scene. Is beating off to a 12 year old child who looks like an adult cool and good, or is it creepy? Is it totally okay because Japan? Does it matter that she's fictional? What about age of consent?? That's for you and the intellectual elite of /r/OnePiece to decide!

And we have People here who complain about OF Cosplay posts.
The age does not matter cause she's fictional. Shut the frick up already.
Plenty more peppered around the thread, and doubtless more to arrive as the thread goes on. This topic always brings out the hottest of takes.
