Weekly Anime Post 133

Rewatched some kissxsis on a whim, like it just as much as the first time. Tho some shit is pretty haram, eg the occasional piss fetish stuff, they should have just focused on the :marseywholesome: incest stuff (its not really incest ofc because they are step siblings so its fine guys!!)

To summarize, the author should seek god but its still kino.

I watched the first season of Psycho-Pass. I liked the plot and most of the characters, and the animation was pretty good, besides a bit of awkward 3d. As usual, I'm a sucker for anything with a cyberpunk atmosphere and this one did it well. The main issue was that people would not.. shut.. up... Akane won't shut up, Kogami won't shut up, Makishima won't shut up, even the fricking guns won't shut up. STOP MONOLOGUING TO EVERYONE YOU FRICKING SEE. STOP TELLING ME YOUR LIFE STORY. STOP TELLING ME YOUR EXAM SCORES. STOP TELLING ME YOUR IDEOLOGY. Also, some characters felt a little static, especially Akane who obviously gains confidence but doesn't really have to consider any perspective but her own. All that said, I found it to be an enjoyable story and worth the watch. It gets a lot better as it goes on, and the ending is very strong. Makishima is a good villain, and I appreciate that the authors were willing to make it cathartic instead of blue balling you like a lot of shows would.

To all the weebs of this site, is it worth the time to watch seasons 2 and 3? Does Akane get a better chance to grow as a character? If they're about as good as the first season, then I will, but I'm hearing conflicting things on the internet.

It's pretty dumb though.

I think I saw S2...? If I did, it wasn't memorable.

If she doesn't meet "the boss" in charge of the city at the end of S1, then I saw S2 and S3. It's worth it for the ending, but then you'll realize how dumb it is.

She does meet them in S1, if by the boss you mean the silly brain cluster thing.

Yeah, S2 seems to be not super well-regarded. Maybe I'll watch it later if I have a lot of time.
