A lot has happened in Nijisanji EN since the last posts made here. Very little of it good!
Catch up here -> https://rdrama.net/h/anime/post/244728/the-true-victims-marseypoor-of-the
Some things that have happened:
3 livers made a black box stream slandering the girl who tried to kill herself and talking about her private medical information and communications from her lawyer, which was very well received by fans!
The CEO kneeled to try to calm investors.
The stock price fell anyway to levels similar to before the huge stock buyback the company did (like a week before the drama lol)
A job posting was discovered showing that EN management positions are aimed at bilingual high school and university students, are part-time, and pay Tokyo minimum wage.
They tried to do a PR stunt where they owned the haters on twitter which only succeeded in them getting more community notes and embarrassed by randos.
One talent was baited into outing himself as a racist, but only against white people so he's become a laughing stock but wasn't fired.
The nijisisters created a rentry document and tried to start a smear campaign against the girl who tried to kill herself but it didn't catch on because it was just seething about her claiming to have BPD once years ago.
The nijisisters made another rentry document which was a hit list of everyone with any amount of clout who ever said a single negative thing about nijisanji. This was considered a totally normal thing to do and changed many hearts and minds!
A copy of a talent contract and a silencing contract were leaked and absolutely picked apart by eceleb lawyers who thought it was probably written by middle schoolers. They were seriously bad and cartoonishly evil. Stuff like them being able to penalize the talents for a whole years salary and shit.
The nijisisters turned on one of their own for supporting genocide (eating Starbucks cakes)
The company opened itself up to margin trading in order to try to save the price. Surely this cannot backfire!
And even more drama on the JP side with freelancers and probably more I'm forgetting. Honestly, most of these could have been posts of their own, but I'm lazy. Anyway, let's get to the real meat and potatoes:
THE QUARTER 3 FINANCIAL REPORT DROPPED YESTERDAY
Before we begin, I would like to note that this report only covers things that happened before January 31st. The drama started February 5th, so more to look forward to that and the yearly shareholder meeting in June!!
Let's take a look.
EN is down over 40% YoY.
The company as a whole missed it's revenue estimate by a measly 10 billion yen. That isn't even 100 million USD, no biggie. Surely this will all blow over. Unfortunately they posted this report after the tsx had closed. Oh wait a second, it just opened again!
UH OH.
Seems like the stock loss is a bit more than negligible. To clarify, Japanese stock exchanges have a limit on how much price movement a stock can have in one day. Anycolor hit the downwards limit only minutes after opening. So look forward to Monday morning Japan time when everyone else gets another shot at panic selling.
Now lets see how the JP stock bros on the yahoo finance board are doing!
It's so over bros…
Here are some words of wisdom I learned there.
And some good analysis!
So, ya Anycolor/Nijisanji might be dying.
tl;dr
TOTAL SAYU VICTORY

Why do Vtubers sign up to a managing firm in the first place? It seems completely r-slurred. Anyone can stream themselves and it's not like the firm is doing anything other than stealing 30% of your revenue to "do marketing(make tweets)" about you.

I just don't understand idol autism I think, I only watch Pippa and only like once a month but even the people in her chat are deranged and that is like the v-tuber chat that is the closest to my kind of people.

You know simp behavior for ethots? It's like that only with the girl pretending to be a pure virgin so the losers can pretend she's their girlfriend and throw money at her for attention.
While on the topic; I remember a thread on /vt/ documenting this one guy that always shows up in Watama's streams and throws like $500 dollars at her every stream just to talk about his day. The guy's wife and kids died in a car crash and this is his coping mechanism, apparently.

I think I just have like the opposite autism to that, I don't understand simping and in the past when breaking up with exes I have always been kind of indifferent.
I like being in a relationship but it has just never had the power to take over my life and make me nuts I guess.

@KoreanStragKing dunno about the other companies, but joining Hololive/Cover guarantees you a 75k USD salary in addition too you're streaming revenue (30 too 40% of superchats), a big chunk of merchandise sales, and a minimum audience of 300k simps and lets you occasionally collab and leech off the bigger and more established talents. The ability too just disappear for 8 months straight with little too no work and still getting paid while getting corpo sponsorships while having a lot of support staff and free flights too Japan.

I guess that makes a lot of sense in a business that's boom or bust. For the "talent" having stability in your life is valuable. For the company, they just need enough to be successful to pay for the rest.

Partly it's the promotional skills and resources a company has, but people also stick with a certain brand, like with beer.
