Every part is based on a new story and main character (but every mc is related, think grandpa > dad > son > son > daughter...). Each part is also genre specific. Part 1 is vampires, part 2 is a lot of 80s films jumbled up, part 3 is based on around the world in 80 days, 4 is a murder mystery type of story, 5 is italian gangsters... The show is incredibly neurodivergent because its creator is neurodivergent, but its pretty decent and spawned a ridiculous number of memes and reaction images because of how bizarre and neurodivergent the show is. Part of the autism includes fashion autism, especially in later seasons, which devolves into "i swear were strags not strags." Its a pretty good show to get into if you can turn your brain off for part 1 and 2. Part 3 onwards is mostly about the intrigue of the superpower of the week.

i have successfully avoided reading the manga so far because I really like the anime and love being surprised by it

Golden Wind's story and Giorno and a bunch of other things don't really stand up to heavy scrutiny but i had a blast watching it week to week

Battle Tendency was probably even more fun

Diamond is Unbreakable is the most bizarre and maybe even more fun

They're all great in their own ways, I got sucked into it because I thought Battle Tendency was like a spoof of anime since it was so over the top lol. Hard to pick a favorite, the vibes in Golden Wind are so good but Diamond is Unbreakable is weird but very alluring. Stone Ocean is last imo. It's not bad by any stretch but the notable lack of chemistry in the cast hurts it.

hayato vs kira + josuke vs kira, all the funny valentine fights, all are so good. My unusual pick is probably the c-moon and heavy weather parts from part 6, c-moons intro was terrifying imo
