anime seems like such a wasted genre. it's animation so you can make an anime about anything at all with a plot as imaginative as you'd like it and it's all just

There are lots of really groundbreaking, imaginative animes. It's just that they're all drowned in a sea of shit.

Anime has been the only source of good scifi since the 90s imo.
