Seriously, they had some of the best action scenes, well developed characters, gripping storylines. Nothing nowadays goes anywhere or really grabs you like the Big Three :marseyshrug:

Full Metal Alchemist is the only anime so good they made multiple versions of it. I have never seen My Hero Academia. Animax was this channel from my childhood and even their FMA ad used to be kino.

Looking at those ads I really feel like advestisements went backwards the past decade. Darn......the last generation of actually competent people really did go extinct after the smartphone came out.

Hunter X hunter is good but the newest manga arc has too many characters and is getting a bit boring. Hunter X hunter was peak till the end of the ant king arc.

I'd say it's similar to the Alien franchise.. They've got powered armour and interstellar travel, but not force fields or any sort of supernatural powers.

I think the alien franchise is actually technologically more advanced because the alien franchise has androids.

The awkward thing about the alien franchise is that based on the power levels of the androids in the most recent movie, it should take humanity a century or two at most to be able to mass produce robots powerful enough to defeat the aliens without issue.

I think we are going to reach a point where biological monster horror just doesn't work in any setting because either you have to go down the route of fantasy powers in space to make the monsters impossible to defeat, or suspension of belief will become ever harder as we are already nearing a point where the public commercial systems can track every inch of the planet already.

Alien swarms could still work but they would have to be endless in number even before they reach humanity.

The thing was good. The thing is actually more plausible sci fi than aliens because the thing could be a threat even in the future. You could have bio scanners in every human sized space but still have the thing crawl through a random hole or the smallest vent then come out the other side a person.
