She perfectly encapsulates women and teachers. The best Peggy moment is when she hits the ground when she was skydiving.

I thought the best Peggy moment was when she got her feet spanked by a pingpong paddle

Peggy is caring, loyal, and gracious of her good fortune, as long as she is under absolutely zero stress.
As soon as she has to make choices everything goes to shit.
That said, Bobby is far worse. I'm fascistly pro-life, but he should have been aborted.

I think it's Luanne that separates the king from the hill but Peggy is the best because her story arcs are fun. Even when she's a B plot she's still really entertaining. She usually gets put in her place when she's being an r-slur and overall she does what she wants and funny shit happens.

The episode where she's speaking Spanish in Mexico is the best Peggy moment.

peggy would make a great tradwife from a pre-feminist generation
-take away her agency and she stops acting without thinking about the consequences
-take away the stress of decision-making and she stops being high-strung
what's left is a loyal church girl who cooks you apple brown betties and helps make your kids the best they can be. she's smart enough to carry a converstion, help your kids with homework, and not just generally frick everything up while you're at work. she's a victim of being born into the incorrect era and being saddled with unrealistic expectations
(Yes, I am the Patriarchy)

she started as a fantastic character that got butchered by late stage cartoon show syndrome where everyone gets flanderized. she was good through the first three or so seasons but the last few are fricking rough

Love Peg. Not for who she is as a person, but because she's funny.

I liked the episode with the other teacher when Peggy wrote Bobbys report. It was basically the only time she was ever totally called out by someone with no recourse and she pretty much unraveled but couldent ever explain why, it wasent clear to anyone except Peggy and the other teacher.

As a King of the Hill enjoyer I have to say my piece.
Peggy is a lightning rod that midwits feel the need to comment on. People are the guys in the alley at their worst when it hits the fan- a bill gives up and wallows, a dale gives into conspiratorial thinking, a hank trust the system even when the system is flawed, a khan thinks naively that the world is a meritocracy, and Lucky thinks that the world is luck. Peggy is just a flawed character like all the others who really wants to be more but isn't a hero; Peggy is as much of a person as a cartoon character can be. 13 seasons and way too many writers with different visions of things make a mess but also make very human characters; we're often contradictions. It's a mess in a good way!
At best we can be Boomhauer. (here's where I remind myself to do the other KotH marseys)... Yup/sip

The writer changed her character to be less insufferable after he realized people hated her so much. I think the turning point was the skydiving episode.

I never watched it because it seemed like it was for old people. I'm not sure who the target demographic is, mut something about the art style is extremely off putting to me
