Every other developed nation in the world 't has a large prison system as well.
They aren't democratic!!!!
They have multiple political parties and a parliament (More democratic than America)

Djibouti, Egypt, Morocco, Taiwan, Indonesia, South Korea, etc are all quasi dictatorships supported by Western powers.
Also in America all these powers would be given to the president rather than multiple democratically elected leaders lol:
But all the people are dying from no food communism! No food bad!
All of that is due to harsh international embargo. More die to starvation every year in democratic countries than have ever died in North Korea due to famine.
But North Koreans are unhappy and they try to escape all the time!
North Korea has an expatriation rate less than any other country.
Polls also show that they have the highest voter turnout(100%) and Highest satisfaction with leadership(100%) Much more than any western nation, curious 
In conclusion, everyone who hates North Korea is some kind of soy who can't go 15 minutes without cuck porn or playing on their Nintendo switch
