Democratic elected officials have to abandon it and post hot takes / breaking news on other platforms, which would force journ*lists to those platforms.

Funding alt platforms, assistance for local govs, weather services etc to move over.

And how do we get them to do that? Sorry, I won't bug you if this is bugging you but I'm starving for this kind of brass tacks strategic talk that thus far I've mostly only been able to have with myself.

Like, I feel like there should be a political org, at least an informal one, dedicated to this.

The first journ*list that posted the shooter's ID who wasn't a Murdoch property or an affiliate reporter was NBC's Tom Winter, who first posted it to X, and then to NBC's site. I passed over linking or screenshotting X and linked NBC's site.

It has to start with everyone refusing to use or link to the site. Delete profiles. Log out. Deactivate. Never click to the site again and tell others.
