And also the popularity of zombie apocalypse media in the 2010s or the handmaids tale. People who don't have alot going for them think some monumentous shakeup is going to make things better. Really, the people who are already well off (fit, entreprenuerial spirit, etc.) are also going to be the ones thriving the most in these devastating circumstances.
