This is bad design, but good that they have a roadmap to fix it.

Wrote to bluesky about this and they responded that they agreed, but as of my last test it has not been fixed & it's not mentioned in this announcement.

Other sites allow use w/o email verification - which is bad - bsky is unique in NOT sending notices that an email has been used for an account.
