I live in a house my grandfather purchased in the 1950's on a postman's salary.

Now the neighbourhood is 80%+ Catholic Latinx.

There are two houses across from mine that are empty and have been empty, despite good sale / rent prices.

White people live in enclaves with artificially high prices to keep out the riffraff. They all fled this suburb. They'll work five minutes walk from here in downtown, but they commute (at 50 MPH) through the uncontrolled kilometer-long residential road running thru my front yard.
