IQ tests are a measure of how exclusively you were raised and educated in the core of the author's culture, and how much of your childhood was sacrificed to learning extremely specific mental skills.

I pinned the gauge on standardised tests. I did so to avoid corporal punishment.

1. IQ is a trash metric for anything other than how good you are at IQ tests;

2. people purporting to know what genes "drive" IQ are selling eugenic snake oil; and

3. for bonus bullshit, "risk of obesity" and "risk of mental illness" are also not traits with a good genetic basis.🧪

I was accepted to a magnet school, took AP & IB classes, & pegged the PSAT & had 99.97% SAT score group. Got a full ride scholarship.

It came at the cost of living for 13 years with no idea WHO I WAS

There was no room for me in my life, only Study
