Hello! I recently discovered that a problem is occurring. It occurred in a subreddit I don't moderate, but it doesn't appear to be a moderation problem, but a Reddit server problem. I don't know if it's specific to one user or a few users or the specific subreddit or is sitewide, so I wanted to raise the flag.
This response to one of my comments, https://old.reddit.com/1g8s5up/_/lue8vyo/
Did not arrive in my inbox.
It's not in my inbox still. I only found it by reading thru the responding user's userpage, seeing the comment listed there, and clicking it — just to see it in context in the post as a reply to me.
I do not know what is happening, but I do find it concerning that replies to users may be being dropped by Reddit's servers.
My investigation was touched off by the respondent mentioning that they thought that the subreddit was "swallowing posts and comments", and this is evidence that it's not the subreddit, but Reddit's servers, at fault. Please investigate and resolve this issue.
