So far the "hard sci-fi" criticism I have of The Expanse (outside of the Dark Matter realm physics of the macguffin) are two things,

1. Epstein drive (minor, no big deal)

2. interplanetary railguns accurate to what must be incredible fractions of arcsecond. (Major, sucked me out of suspension)

Do you recall where we encounter interplanetary railguns in The Expanse? Earth and Mars stick them on sufficiently sized ships and orbital platforms and Laconia has its fancy alien railguns but I'm struggling to place any interplanetary batteries that aren't just torpedoes.

The 5 MCRN stealth ballistic platforms, deployed around the solar system, were taken out by Earth's planetary defense railguns - presumably because of the immense speed necessary to successfully carry out such a strike

ah gotcha - I wasn't mentally including the orbital railgun platforms as interplanetary batteries - was thinking I had perhaps missed surface guns. Thanks!
