From 2019 to 2022, I used Reddit's API & a "firehose" service to trawl the site for White Identity Extremists codewords / shibboleths / handshakes, to find and take action on hate groups & racially motivated violent extremists. "Deus Vult" was one of the phrases I queried every single day.

It was clearly due to his tattoo "associated with Supremacist groups."

On air, Hegseth has FALSELY claimed the reason was for a different (religious) tattoo.
