I thought taking away the hay feeder thingy would stop her from climbing to the top, but when I left for a while and came back there she was on top of the cage 
The only way I can imagine how she did that was that she squeezed into the tiny space between the cage and the fence and wall climbed or something, I was wondering why she kept going to that tiny space to get herself squeezed these past few days 
I hope she doesn't accidentally

you know there is this thing you can do with windows, you grab them and you push or pull them towards the window shaped holes, and voila! Suddenly there is glass covering the window shaped holes and your Chinchilla cannot fall out!

You know.... sometimes I get the feeling you think I am more r-slurred than I actually am.
Yeah, might wanna fully cage up good and proper then. Either that or teach her how to use the stairs under your supervision and just throw some safety pillows around wherever she falls off the edge.
