don't buy new chins from a pet shop, usually the sellers know no shit about their pets and they can be ridden with genetic diseases. i am sure there are some chinchillla rescues or you can ask on fb groups. Even my city in Poland has something lke this, where you can adopt lab rats or just adopt random rodents some people put up for adoption.

if you really wanna spend coin then try to find a reputable breeder just like people do for dogs :marseysulk:
