tenant gave me a mouse lmao :marseymouse:

tenant brought me this because i am the super :marseyjanny2:. she was using the road salt bucket as a sort of moat so he wouldn't jump out of the tupperware i guess lol. i gave him some more food and transferred him to a taller container with tongs. every unit in this building is clean af and she's one of like... 3 people that doesn't have a marsey, surprised a mouse would bother setting up here

my irl marsey is eyeing it :marseyworried:. he's insanely cute and a very good little mousey, didn't try to escape the tongs when i tried moving him, but it seems cruel to keep him when he would just be menaced nonstop by this apex predator https://i.rdrama.net/images/16841354004771929.webp. probably just going to let him finish his peanut butter and drop him off outside someone's house that i dislike. open to advice on what to do to make him more comfortable until i move him out. my dad chopped a gigantic rat that was in my closet in half with a cleaver when i was a kid and i think that's all the rodent based violence i need in my life for now

!animalposters please advise

Make sure you go far away enough from your place that it doesn't come back.

for sure. https://old.reddit.com/r/ottawa/comments/11tpv52/city_protecting_identity_of_owners_after_brutal/jck6juh/ they let pitbulls on the bus so i figured it'd be funny to try to get on with a mouse in a tupperware

>transferred him to a taller container with tongs

small mice like that you can just pick up by the tail, fyi. They're not heavy enough to get hurt by it and they just kinda have to deal with it

do you know if little mice like that carry diseases very often? i think he was a field mouse from his face. i wanted to pet him so bad and warm him up cus he kept getting covered in water 😭 but i only handled him with gloves because google kept telling me about all 3958235923785 diseases mice can get (idk how common it is in reality here tho)

I think it's going to vary widely based on what species/geography. I don't work with wild animals tho
