My cat is adopted. A few months after I got her she got FIV (so mostly got it from the woman taking care of her for the shelter, who had other cats in other rooms).
She basically has all her teeth removed, but at least has her small cute fangs left (which you sometimes can see when she's sleeping like an
- no... like a snoring 
which she is).

Isn't a lot of FIV transmitted during birth? Could be the mom cat just had it. I didn't know it gave them dental problems though. Hope your marsey is doing well!

I think she was around 8 when we got her. Might be a flare up, not sure how FIV exactly works. And the dental problems were not directly due to FIV, but apparently (from my short googling now) gingivostomatitis (some chronic inflammation of basically everything around the teeth).
And yeah, she is doing fine. Just have to cut the meat in smaller pieces since she has problems chewing and she just swallows down harder treats without chewing them at all.
