Portland's one landmark that truly deserves its reputation is Powell's Book Store. Nearby they have (had?) a small shop for technical books, mostly computer stuff. There was a really cool cat who hung out there and watched people being chill and reading. Must have been a good life.

I miss Powell's, found some of my favorite books there. If I remember correctly there was a bomb pizza place across the street too. Never saw the tech room marsey though
