I had a black lab, when it got older she would have age regression. When she was a puppy she would jump off the porch at full force. One time when she was going through her episodes she bolted off the porch and both broke her back legs, had to be put down. 18 year old black lab.

Honestly, I was kinda glad it happened. A friend of the family had a dog that should have been put to sleep. It had 1 leg cause of diabetes didn't move, peed all over itself but their owner didn't have the heart to do it. I was afraid my mom would do the same thing to that dog. It was very old, barely conscious of where it was and only really reacted when it had it's age regression episodes.

I understand, its never an easy decision to bless your best friend with eternal life. Yeah, you did, nobody else was even aware, so only you could have stepped in and created the opening for your best friends arrival to its destination, whether that means we are at redt and peace, or perhaps your friend sits in your lap time to time when youre cruing and you cheer up, thinking, i dont know how i cherr up so quickly.
