yeah he was 20+ lbs when I rescued him but has been on a strict diet for about 6 months now, I have to put him in the kennel to weigh him properly though and need to work up the energy because the last time I put him in there to weigh him, I think he thought he was being abandoned again for like the third time and broke my heart with his uncharacteristic crying

Why not just hold him and step on the scale?

I tried that but its a digital scale and yoyos between 2-3 lbs so not very accurate when I'm looking for oz
