PRAYERS FOR SHEILA PLEASE!

This cat's puking very frequently after a de-wormer. I was instructed by the vet to wash the application site and bring Sheila in tomorrow. :marseycry: what is money anyway? :marseysulk: :marseygunshotsuicide:

She's puked 6 times in 5 days, it is very necessary to bring her in. Good thing I still have nutrient supplements and syringes for drop-watering. Pray for her, I'm clearly being punished.

She's stable, but I've never seen a bad reaction like this before.

Poor baby! :marseysob:

Chronic vomiting is so hard to diagnose in cats. Last spring my cat threw up daily for several weeks and my vet couldn't figure out what was wrong. Then my regular vet was closed for a long weekend, so I took her to an after hours clinic where they gave her fluids and then put her in the easy digestion prescription food and she's only thrown up once since then. I'm very frustrated with my regular vet, but also grateful that the solution turned out to be relatively simple. It might be worth asking about the prescription food if you haven't tried that yet. :marseyheart:

She's only on kibbles (one prescription adult, one non-prescription adult, one kitten for added nutrients), water, nutrients, and churus as of today, and I'd been doing that diet for two days perhaps on Tuesday and Wednesday to "give her stomach a break," she reacted well to it and did not throw up until given access to her adult sheba gravy dinners? That plus her kibble or just pure bile is what's coming up immediately following meals.

Don't make me feel more contempt for the normal vet i use. They're lucky they still get my business after certain things they've pulled. I'm trying very hard to not be petty or impolite to the professionals since they're all we can rely on in these times.

I don't know if you have enough plant stuff they can chew on, we had a similar scare recently that ended up being nothing.

We have added more cat grass for the indoor ones and I give them a fish oil supplement kind of thing that helps them pass hairballs

You're not being punished, you're being tested. But it sounds like you're doing well!

If this happened all of the sudden when her life was stable I'd be worried, but she's been through so much in the last few weeks.

The vomiting itself isn't going to hurt her yet. Humans can vomit everything 5 days straight and be fine. This is one of those things where cats are much more resilient. They don't need to eat everyday. If you put out food for them everyday they'll eat it but in the wild they go long periods with nothing.

I'd say more but a horde of redditors will descend on me and accuse me of "evopsych".
