Seriously, I'm still confused at the idea that this guy was the big problem the ticket. Lee Marvin could have been Kamala's running mate and she still would have lost.

Lee Marvin is exactly what the Democratic Party needs right now. He went on some late night show, Johnny Carson's competitor. He's asked "What did you do in the war?"
"I got shot in the butt."
That's a level of authenticity light years beyond anything any politician can come up with today. Especially the part about actually getting shot in the butt.

He got shot in the butt from the front. He was on the beach at Iwo Jima and came under heavy fire. He and the rest of the platoon threw himself down but he landed on another guy's leg so his butt was sticking up in the air and a Jap bullet cut him a second butt crack.

Walz was decent. The issue is that the Harris campaign used him as "look look be a good white man like Walz" instead of just letting him act normal. He'd have done decently on Rogan, but the campaign was worried he'd upstage Kamala and raise questions of why she was scared to go on it.
