I remember on yikyak when they came out with usernames, I made some vaguely feminine name. I didn't change my posting habits at all. No matter how I posted, I always got 90% weird simps updooting me and 10% incels raging at me.

(Hint: if there's a "based queen" in an internet group, they're 99.9% guaranteed to be a dude. My condolences, MrPenny simps.)

In the end I changed my name to something else because I didn't like the attention, but it did make me realize how weird moids are on the web. They don't even know if you're an old fat b-word with gout and they still treat you like an Insta queen, smdh.

I think everyone should RP as the opposite s*x at some point. Women don't usually realise what it's like for men either and the whole 'just b urself' advice comes from thinking that it's easy to get attention, you just do whatever and people give it to you.
