Landscaper drove an excavator over my septic system and collapsed one of the tanks. No worries, we’ll fill it in and install a new one.

Township inspector needs to come sign off on it.

But wait - new law says that water softener/treatment systems can’t discharge into the septic system. I can either remove the treatment system or dig up the entire foundation to install some new system.

Fifteen minutes and a little negotiation and that’s no longer a problem.
