As a photographer I could ramble on about the reasons for it, I just want everyone to appreciate the way this picture makes her left hand look huge, but especially consider please how big the mobile computer in said hand looks far larger than her entire head LOL

I don't think you can use that one.
Cameras work with perspective projections. This is a common model. Big thing about perspective projections is that it cannot preserve the relative proportion of an object.
As the article states the same thing is used in computer graphics, when the 3d virtual world is projected onto the 2d plane which is your monitor.
