Remember when Jesus died on the cross and half saved everyone, but you still have to go to church and eat weird bread wafers otherwise the sacrifice isn't complete? And conveniently over everyone's life if they go to church every sunday they get just enough top-up bread sacrifices to finish the original sacrifice, but just to be sure, once you die other catholics pray for the saints to reach into their grace bank accounts and give you enough top-up grace to go to heaven?
