They celebrate Hearth's Warming. The ponies of Equestria were once divided and lived in disharmony. They were plagued by eternal winter and mythical creatures called Windigos, which thrived on their negative emotions. When The Pegasi, Unicorns and Earth ponies managed to unite in harmony they also drove the wendigos away. They would then found Equestria, a nation where all ponies can live together. This is celebrated basically like christmas.
