There's a two part family man episode where it's basically just Seth McFarlane whining to the camera for an hour about orange man

Why is this happening

It brings me immense pleasure that Seth MacFarlane is extremely into musicals and shoves his uninspired showtunes into every cranny of the show, yet the South Park guys who bully MacFarlane have 11 Tonys to his 0. I guarantee Seth has punched walls thinking about it.

Television would be improved 1,000,000 percent if executives would clamp down on the straggy theater kid's love of musicals. No one likes musicals.

I love musicals. Seth Mcfarlane needs to study more musical theory.

Then go watch musicals, stop ruining television with a format that can barely sell out shows in densely populated cities.

The problem isn't musicals but indulgent hacks with no producer bold or tasteful enough to curb their excesses. There have been plenty of good musical numbers on TV, it just has to be in service of the episode instead of the showrunner's ego.

If you like musicals, sure. The problem is that most people don't like musicals while nearly everyone likes TV.

Imagine if you went to a musical and someone rolled out a television and said "you guys lucked out. It's this seasons drama night" and instead of a musical you had to watch an episode of television. It would be absurd right? Well that's what we have to live with.

Only if it took up 15 minutes of the musical, which is what I'm complaining about when 3 minutes of a show are wasted on low-energy songs with repeated choruses. A well-crafted, sub-90 second song can be the highlight of the episode but it takes exceptional restraint to trim it down to the point it doesn't overstay its welcome. A few minutes of a TV screen on stage could be an interesting departure from an otherwise typical show, same as a brief musical interlude once every season or two. You act like it ruins TV when he only shows that do entire musical episodes have fanbases that will accept it, either something like Scrubs where the fans have no taste or Buffy where the fans are homos.

I don't accept it. I hate it. Every high concept TV show does it as tony? bait and it ruins an entire episode. Its not just that they're singing, it's that they're doing it in a style of music literally no one listens to.

Yeah, musicals, a niche event for a few hundred people a week in jew York is just as likeable as the idiot box sitting in every home in America. Are you an idiot or something?

Has Seth even bothered to write an actual stage musical? I don't think he's lost at Tonys, he's just never tried.

And BOMM deserved 238 Tonys to be precise

His desire bleeds through his work, Family Man along with interviews from him and cast show his obsession with rocking Broadway. Anyone who studies his work can pick up on this.
