Family Guy can be obnoxiously pretentious. It can be amusing background noise, but the writers really do think they're far smarter than they actually are. The political uber woke pandering in the recent seasons has been obnoxious as heck.

It's a sophomoric cartoon with fart jokes and male feminists. It's not high brow television programming or substantive political commentary.

!trekkies understand the thinking man's show is Star Trek.
