I thought being plus sized in America was hard..
But then I went to Paris and I can’t even imagine living here as a woman my size. The chairs are small, elevators can barely fit two people my size, and the scale in my hotel room only goes up to 260 lbs. Yet, I see a lot of women around my size walking around (US size 16/18). My question is for all plus sized women living in Europe: how do you navigate everything not being made for you? I guess in the US I got lucky since the average woman wears a size 16 ish there so most things fit me fine with no problem, but here I feel like a giant lol.

Bish, you wouldn't be 260lb if you lived in France.
It's truly astonishing how the fatties have managed to convince themselves that being morbidly obese is their natural state.

saying “ how do you navigate everything not being made for you?” says everything about them. eating less is too much effort for them so you have to replace all the chairs in your restaurant to be inclusive

she might be right…
that’s only like half the american obesity rate but i’d imagine it’s not uncommon to run across a fatcel in france. at least the public doesn’t cater to them, i’ll have a hard time shopping in american stores cause everything is too big

Unfortunately french people are fat now, but not more outside Paris than they are inside Paris.
A good thing is that unlike in the US it's not hateful to consider fatcels to be responsible for their weight. Compared to the US, people are quick to make fun of you because you're fat also, some people made fun of me (in a friendly way, though) when I weighted 90kg for 181cm - and they weren't friends or relatives.

well it’s different because in america long covid exists and it affects mostly white women, also they have more metabolic conditions and chronic illnesses like POTS and fibromyalgia. i learned this from taylor lorenz
