Well of course. They made him feel mad, and that doesn't go away just because he didn't read the article properly, or more likely read the ragebait thread and only found out in it that it was a quote. So NPR is still to blame for making him feel that way, and it will take time to forgive them.

I honestly respect the heck out of this. It takes a lot of courage to keep making stuff up when you're on the ground because if it turns out you were wrong, you'll look like a huge fricking r-slur. Most people in these situations just say "I have no idea what's going on" to try to stay out of trouble in case they're wrong.
