Guy criticizes his employer for not covering the dumbfrick stories about Hunter's laptop and lab leak theory and he gets fired.
Maybe one of you non-chuds can correct me, but I'm pretty certain the "lab leak theory" is, at present, considered the most likely explanation for COVID's origin? I mean obviously the evidence is fairly scant (you can thank the CCP for this) but so is the evidence that it came from some nearby wet market.
Yes, lab leak theory is the leading hypothesis by the US government atm.
Also Hunter Biden's laptop was real and not Russian disinformation. Whether that means Joe Biden is actually corrupt and took money from China/Ukraine is not clear, but the laptop and its contents are 100% real and any lib who says otherwise is just coping at this point.
It's insane how well the programming worked. The βtrusted sources' literally told them to not worry about the candidate's family scandal because the CIA said so and they still feel smug about believing the government. Even after media libs had to begrudgingly admit (after the election of course) that it was in fact real and they covered it up because the glowies told them to.
It is more evidenced than zoonotic origin. As far as I know, they haven't actually identified any natural reservoir for the original covid, with most suspect species being hundreds of miles away from the market.
Unlike WIV, which we know was seeking, in 2018, to modify coronaviruses in a fashion largely identically to what we know about covid (insertion of a furin cleavage site at S1/S2 junction in the spike protein). This was rejected by the DOD for being dangerous, which leads people to think they found another financier for it. We also know that three of the earliest covid patients were viral researchers at WIV. We also know that WIV is the first BSL4 in China and had safety concerns before.
However, if it was a lab leak, China likely destroyed most evidence of a leak in the very early days of the pandemic. I don't think the US is eager to find out either. As it stands, I think they enjoy being able to softly blame China without bringing hard evidence, while also not drawing too much attention to the concept of viral research, which is crucial for biotech.
My (weak) understanding was that the US was funding some of the coronavirus research at the site so there was a push to discredit the lab leak theory as while the leak itself would have been due to Chinese incompetence/lack of safety protocols (something that anybody who's worked with Chinese on anything would attest to), the fact that the US govt helped fund it would reflect poorly on us.
Yeah, we were doing research there. That's part of why I think the US is more inclined to imply the lab leak hypothesis rather than perform a full prosecution of it. It's easy to say βlol China probably fricked upβ and have people say βlmao yeah China deff fricked it upβ. But if we really looked into it, we'd probably find some questionable shit from us.
