Hey fighters! I'd like for us to begin organizing our own weeekly tournaments to get more engagement for our hole.
Rules are as follows:
Every thursday a fundraising thread will be held, where all donaters get to nominate one game.
The following friday a voting thread with the nominations will be held. In case of any ties the game with more donater votes wins. So even if someone else nominates the game you want, you should still contribute to the prize pool.
The tournament itself will be held on saturday, 5pm EST as that shouldn't be too late for euros like me or too early for Americans and Brazilians. Sign ups at 3pm at the lastest, make a challonge account.
I'm thinking about making a youtube account for this so the tournament can be broadcast in our rDrama chat. So if you nominate a game, you should be willing to host a livestream in case I don't have it.
Is this a good or bad idea, what do you guys think?

Might be fun to center it around older fighting games to put people on a more level playing field and more interesting. I doubt anyone has put considerable time into Red Earth.

I think it's a great idea to have heavy emphasis on Fightcade stuff because it's:
free
runs on anything
levels the playing field
good netcode
it would also be a lot of fun if we could get some sort of roulette wheel to decide the game from a catalog of r-slurred, old, busted FGs, similar to the Mystery Tournament they do at Frosty and Combo Breaker
not as the "standard" thing, but maybe once a month?
