I kinda liked Eraserhead....

Jump in the discussion.

Sure, but it's not a horror movie. That's what makes the bait too obvious.

Soygument (Soy Argument) point 6:

Those movies aren't Horror!

It is too a horror movie. :!marseyindignant:

It's bait because it's a classic, and it's from David Lynch.

They've got plenty of others like that in there, so :marseyeyeroll:

Hot take: The Exorcist movie kinda sucks. The first 45 minutes are all skippable; the girl doesn't even start to get possessed for like the first half hour. If you cut out some completely unnecessary character backstory at the start (we don't fricking care that the mom is divorced holy shit) I might bump it up a star.

:#marseysmughips:

If you mean the newer Exorcist, I don't know. It was forgettable.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

It's still a hot take because people :soyjackwow:sperg out :soyja!ckwow:about the original like it still holds up

Also Halloween starts out real slow but everyone it describes still matters to the plot - Exorcist spends a while talking about how the mom is divorced and trying to get in touch with the dad - but you could cut all of this and the movie would be completely unaffected

I love the OC that occasionally happens on /tv/ but every time I see a variation of this and a whole thread gets derailed, I wonder how many r-slurs and ESLs actually get baited by this

Jump in the discussion.

/wsg/ still has "space is fake" and "the earth is flat" threads. It never fails to get the autists riled up.

Lighthouse should be mandatory viewing. 2 hours of violent schizophrenic homoerotica between a older man and his twink.

Jump in the discussion.

Yea it's the perfect movie for rdrama. Anyone that talks shit about it should be anally penetrated by the biggest hardest bear in their zip code. It also has mermussy.

I recently rewatched with subtitles and it just said old and young as names so I assume it's just the same dude having homoerotic schizo fantasy with himself and subscribe to that theory.

Also Dafoe is a zaddy with a gigantic peepee.

And the scene at the end of this clip

Where's Evil Dead & AshVsEvilDead

That's the only Franchise I have liked which had "horror" as a tagged genre

I never understood the hype for this movie. I watched it and was that was it? It felt pretty generic with some minor symbolism thrown in there at an attempt to be “deep”.

5/10 worth a watch once if you care for the genre, but nothing special.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

Exactly. It was hyped to shit, but the only scary part was in that tree house or whatever. I LOLed at the rest of it. The mayoess I watched it with loved it though, so there you go. White women love CRAP.

Oh yeah Threads is sick. British parents showing such a depressing movie to young children is morbidly funny. There's a German writer called Gudrun Pausewang who wrote The Last Children of Schewenborn which depicts a nuclear attack in Germany and the effects of it. Pausewang's description of the what the aftermath and how it effects the characters doesn't pull any punches.

See Soygument 7.

The point with the kids was that they already are mandated for kids. So good luck with changing precedence.

See here's another thing ... there's no expectation of privacy in a public area. Fully within my rights to take pictures, even if you feel it's creepy. If you called the police department they would just laugh at you and tell you the same thing ... and that they couldn't do anything. Unless of course they kept taking pictures after you asked them to stop and they didn't ... at which point it would become harassment. Or possibly if it were pictures of minors... But that last part is a grey area. What if that pic was actually a crop of a pic that has my own kids in it and I didn't see the pin till after I went to crop her out? That's not creepy. It happens.

If your husband so much as touched the person, he'd go to jail for assault and battery and possibly subject to a civil lawsuit.

So who's fricking creepy now?
